Chrome treatment
I am trying to get some minor pitting out of my 73's rear license bezel, polish did not work (did well on the mirror and rack), should i fine/wet sand the pits and then polish or will that just dull the chrome? Hoping to not have to replace the part.......

If it's pitted, then basically it has a hole in the chrome through to the underlying metal. Not much you can do as far as filling it. I've made my original chrome wheel spinners that have pitting less noticable by using a Brillo pad and a chrome polish. It's a five footer, but definitely not perfect.
