Ok my 82 is suppose to have 2 headlight air relays. There is only one installed on the car that is used to operate two actuators. The Left side head light operates perfectly opens and closes. The right side will open almost halfway then looses pressure or something and drops back in to the closed position. Is it because they are operating of the one relay or is it a bad actuator or a combonation of the two? I would appreciate any of your thoughts or suggestions.
I'm not familiar with the exact setup on the 1982, but the earlier models had a vacuum line running to the actuator. If the line had cracks and was losing pressure, the actuator would not function.
also try corvette-101.com..I have an 81 and I'm using one relay now ..Had the same problem,I changed the seal and dust cover on the accuator and its much better now, the drivers side still operates a little faster
Lots of folks use just one relay for two headlight buckets without problems. Check your actuator bellows on the offending bucket. They're the ones that seal the actuator shaft to the actuator itself.

If the one relay will let the one headlight raise normally and the other starts to come up, I would think the relay is fine. I would think that maybe your actuators are leaking. Usually the actuator "witches hats" are what get torn and leak. Easily replaced.
Eckler's, Mid America, etc...all have the boot and rod seal kits as well as on ebay.
Just be careful when removing the clevis bolt from the actuator rod...spray lots of pentrating oil on the threads. You do NOT want to happen to you what happened to me.
Short version is that the actuator rod broke off in the clevis bolt and I was forced to get a new actuator instead of just replacing the rod seal. So instead of $10 I got to spend $75.
