Sure, but you better be prepared for some heavy modifications to the body flooring. The 44 comes into the cargo storage areas an inch and a half, so those will have to be cut out and redone to a smaller size. That's just one problem, but will get you started thinking about what all is involved. Possible, but complex and involved.

Tabs need to be fabricated for the frame ad aclamp around the diff pinion area, one that converts the torque bar moutn to a regular pinion mount, you could modify an iron case steel bracket 9the alu 80-82 diff has the miunt cast in) The C4 dana isn't considerably larger than what's in there now. I don't think it comes into the cargo area, there's plenty of room there, the only right spot would be the 2 storage boxes, and then the center section that clears the driveshaft and the pinion area. There's plenty of room there though, I think you can do it without cutting
