Are they fixed? Now I am having problems getting the pages to load all the way - under both IE6 and Opera 5.12. Apparently alot of the images must have a http://www.corvetteforum.cc address, because this is where the hangup starts. Have to hit the stop button and just take whatever has loaded.

Its time to stop playing around with this in real time.

I thought the administrator at my company blocked the website...
I was fearing for my job!!!
People were severely warned not to use the net for anything but company business, and some sites like ESPN, Freeradar.com, The Weather Channel, were blocked.
They fired 2 people for lookin'at porno... which was political, because I was told the LAN administator had THOUSANDS of nudies on the LAN in a secured directory!!

I was without forum for 3 days at work! It was horrible!! :cry :cry

Then I discovered http://www.safeweb.com which allowed me to access the forum thru my company's firewall..... phew!!!

Now I can access the forum at work without using safeweb.com Hallelujah!!

It is the nature of my work that there are long periods of inactivity, punctuated by fairly dramatic stretches of boredome .... but then stuff happens too, and I gotta be ready. My firm has a "business purposes only" internet policy, but I am willing to take my chances with CF, along with trips to CNBC.com and assorted other topical websites. However, I scrupulously avoid any type of porno or "babe" website from work. Sometimes Off-topic is too much! My general rule is, let's pretend my boss is looking over my shoulder at the screen..... corvettes? no prob! MJ

Yeah, it presented an issue with a handful of us. Good thing they fixed the issue... I haven't tried any of the im features yet... hum... anyone tired this behind the firewall? I bet it doesn't work.

I have a firewall at work and home, but I never had any issues other than having to look for the new link one day

You guys are lucky to be able to access the site from work. I work for a majorly uptight oil company and they have made good on their threats to unload employees :smash: that use our systems for anything other than business. And they check all the time!!!:cry
I use a cable modem on my home system and have to "turn off" my two firewalls to get full functionality from Corvette Forum. My firewalls are very protective of me :D

I had the same problem from work. I don't think the issue was if you were behind a firewall I believe the problem was if you were behind a proxy server.
This is a server that you must go through at your company that only lets you connect to certian web-sites using different ports. Must companies block out going to certin internet sites that try to use port 80 I do believe.
Do not hold me to it.
The bad thing about being proxied is that they can see where everyone is going and run reports against it.
Ooops better go.
