I am beginning to go through the electrical system on my 68 and want to know how to remove the fuse box/panel from the car because it has rust on the connections and on the fuses. I have unplugged two or three connectors from it, but it appears to have two more connectors in the back. Are these removable? I pulled on them lightly and they did not come out. I did not want to damage anything so I thought I would ask some knowledgable people on the subject. Also, can the connectors be cleaned, and possibly re-soldered or should the entire assembly be replaced? Additionally, if I were to replace the fuse box/panel, where could I find one, and what should I expect to pay for it.

The engine and forward lamp harnesses connect on the engine side of the firewall. Sometimes hard to get to with the vac reservoir in the way and factory sealant. Remove 3/8" bolt, pull connectors from panel, and pull the two harnesses apart. The rest of the panel is inside the car and unbolts from the inside. The fuse panel is part of the dash wiring harness (main).
