I know that most Corvette owners complain of poor braking but I have the opposite problem. I just rebuilt my entire power brake system, 4 new calipers, all new brakes, turned all four rotors, new master cylinder, SS brake lines and new fluid as part of my restoration and now my brakes are super sensitive, actually to sensitive.
It seems like you just tap the brakes and you are heading toward the windshield.
I am thinking that I am getting to much vacuume to the power brake booster causing the sensitivity problems. I have the booster plugged into the main manifold vacuume source, could this be the problem, or is my power booster faulty (it's the only thing I did'nt replace). No hissing or vacuume loss can be detected at the booster so I am assuming it is fine.
Most likely is the booster. You can't have too much vacuum. The booster is supposed to only use as much as it needs. Only other thing I can think of is to make sure you got a master cylinder for power brakes. The manual master has a smaller bore that would give you easy brakes but more travel.
