Default hedman elite headers on 76

I'm in the process of rebuiling my motor on my 76. I've been looking at the hedman elite headers #68038. It says they fit 63-82 corvettes. It has a footnote that these will not fit if the steering dampner is inside the front crossmember. Will these headers fit without hitting anything? I don't have an ac, so I'm not worried about that. I know they hang low, but I probably won't be lowering my car (much). Thanks

They hang really low. My car has the stock performance suspension (which rides lower than the regular suspension), aluminum heads and intake so it should ride just a touch higher than stock perf. Scraping IS an issue all the time.

The headers should fit you fine though.

Default thanks

I don't mind scraping, I'll be driving slow around any bumps. I'll mostly be crusing, what the car was intended for. Is it worth it in your opinion?

They fit my '79 just great.

Yes they are low, but I haven't scraped anything yet.

They say they are ceramic coated. Mine seem to be ceramic coated. It doesn't burn off or change color. They fit fine, just had to do a slight clearencing around the idler arm.

Dropped a half second on my 0-60 time going from exh manifold to headers. DEFINITELY worth it.

Can do spark plug changes from the top much more easily too.
