Trim tag
Hi all I'm wondering how you could reproduce a trim tag or find a similar or identical one for a car that trim tag is missing?
Mine was pulled at sometime, does anyone know if there are any other ways to find out what was orignally on a car?

Some place, some where I believe I saw an add in the back of one of the 'vette magazines that advertised they would make a trim tag plate to your specifications. With as many counterfiet Big Block cars that are out there I'm sure that there are plenty of people who have made themselves a "custom" trim tag.

I'd check Hemmings etc. You might need to 'go underground' to find someone. They're not illegal like VIN tags, but there are some negative stigmas associated with trim tag reproduction. :eek: That said, be sure you get the right date on it for the VIN of your car. I came across a '70 for the registry which I'm still trying to iron out where the VIN and build date don't line up. Sort of casts an entire spell of doubt on the entire car. :crazy: Good Luck! ~Juliet

You can try Dobbins restoration. "dobbinsc@preit.com". I have been trying to locate the two tags that go on the drivers door of my 79 for some time and this company can get one of them for me.........LT
