Run stand wiring hookup..help
OK, I am ready to run by big block on the run stand I made. How do I hook up wiring to dist, battery, etc. so I can start it and run it for break in. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :chevy

you want to wire a direct hot to from the battery to the post on the starter, and then over to the alternator.
Wire a 12 V+ through a switch to the distributor, so you can turn the spark on and off.
A push button for the starter.
Ground wire from a bellhousing bolt should work, or any bolt for that matter.
The biggies are full 12 V+ to the starter, button controlled starter and switch controlled ignition.
And make sure that stand is not going to go anywhere --- these motors move around more than you think !!

what are you doing for fuel and cooling ?

I am hooking up the rad in front with some wood stands and for fuel I am running line to gas can, using mech pump on engine. Hope all works. :yesnod:
