Corvette Engine Rebuild Question
I need some insite on rods for a 1970 454-390 HP Vette, (TH400). In the 70 Vette did it come with a pressed in wrist pin or a floating 
pin on the pistons? I am buying a block without rods, I plan tp pick up some rods but I am not sure about pressed or floating pins. The engine will be stock(mostly) so I don't need any super duper rods, whatever was stock from GM should do. What were stock rods for this motor?, dimpled rods? This will be a 2 year project so I am in no big hurry. Any info would be greatly appreciated, any suggestions on the rebuild would also be helpful. I guess I would like to bump up the HP to a max of 450, will stock rods handle this? Any suggestions to get it to 450? I have a set of closed chamber heads(3964290) that have recently been redone, new valves, springs, retainers,hardened seats, etc,etc, I bought them that way so they are ready to go, oiled and put in plastic bags for future use.Any cam suggestions,pistons (cast or forged), whatever you can think of.
