I am having a problem with my turn signals...they don't work. All of the bulbs work, I replaced the switch (it works and cancels), I replaced the flasher, and the hazards work.
Here's where I get lost...with the brake lights on (pedal depressed) and the turn signal on (the lever), the brake light goes out (only on the side that the signal is on). I know the body's been painted and perhaps something was hooked back up wrong.
I've looked at the circuit diagrams, etc and still have no idea what could be wrong. Anyone have any ideas?
From wiring diagram, an orange wire from Hazard Flasher connects to one fuse (say fuse A - upper location) of fuse block. Also, from wiring diagram locate stoplight switch an you can see another orange wire that connects to another fuse (say fuse B and located below fuse A) of fuse block. Check if both wires are connected to the same fuse of the fuse block. If that is the situation, reconnect again each circuit.
Also check that LH and RH directional indicator wires (2 blue wires, one for each indicator) are connected to the Directional Signal Switch Connector. Verify that the hazard flasher has a brown cable that connect Directional Signal Switch Connector. Check also that Stop Light Switch has a white cable connected to Directional Signal Switch connector.
On the other hand check that the other Flasher has violet wire connected to the Directional Signal Switch Connector. Also that flasher has a pink wire connected to a third fuse (say fuse C) located at the other side of fuse block. Double check the condition of the flashers, fuses and wire connections and conditions.
