Ok, here it goes. First of all what has happened so far... Engine and tranny are been rebuild, not going to get on details on those now, but huge improvement is coming to both...
Now I'm just trying to keep it breaf, the body is ready to lift, dolly is ready all I really need is 10 guys to make the lift. Yesterday I took both bumbers out all support brackets( what a task!). Today I ripped off the interior and removed the gas tank( I found the BUILD SHEET). Some nice details was found from tank sticker! I'm trying to make the body as light as possible.
As some of you noticed few days ago my ?s about auto-to-manual tranny. Now I'm going to find either 5- or6-speed and now I have the perfect set up for relocating the cross bar for manual?
Engine is going to be dynoed in late september and the computer is going to be tuned at the same time.
As for near future, it's to get the frame sand blasted and coated with some extra hard paint, any suggestions??? Then I will concerntrate on suspension, brakes, fuel lines, etc... I'm going to improve my suspension with monospring and with those VB&P A-arms. My current suspension is VB&P Slalom set up with adjustable KONIs.
As for wheels I'm going for BIGGEST, yes I'm going to fit 20" TT 2s, friend of mine will add ZL-1 flares on front and rear to give more room for those huge donuts... I'm sure I'm for getting some thing, but I'll get back to you soon... OH I'VE BEEN DOCUMENTING THIS PROJECT WITH CAMERA(not digital) and I'll try to develope the photos this week. I think you can get better wiew of my project then... Regards Groovyjay

Sounds like things are moving right along for you, it's alot of work, but very satisfying when completed . Keep up the good work & post those pics ;) !

 

I can get free flying coupons from work... just for myself, sorry! I've already one set (36pics) to develope, hopefully got those done by the end of the week. Then I'll just scan them up. I should have everything disconnected, jacked the car up just to make sure and it seemed ok. Thanks for those awesome frame of pics you posted awhile ago, they've been big help!
