Default Supercharger question...

The Vortech supercharger has an oil line to it and one from it back to the engine.

I will just connect the return line to the valve cover.

Question is, do I need some kind of restictor in the return line or just let it flow freely back into the valve cover? Won't this drop the oil pressure without a restrictor or does the supercarger bearings act as a restrictor in some way?

Thanks

Unless the feed line and return lines are the size of a radiator hose you shouldn't see any drop in pressure.

Thats a good question. I would call Vortechs tech line and ask them. But you did tap your line and it will draw up as much as is needed it will be a recirculating deal so im sure it will be alright. I hear you dont want one bent or clogged. Be very nice with them as they could be very detrimental. Im curious to see pics. Im doing a very similair deal with a procharger.

I'm just wondering......
.....if there is x-amount psi oil pressure in the engine, this pressure will be at the supercharger as well. I don't know what happens inside the supercharger to lower the pressure through its bearings maybe.
If that x-amount of pressure goes to the return line, I will have to make some type of screw on connection to the valve cover or it will blow right off. No?

I have myself second guessing my own logic.....

....so it must be a screw in connection as a hose clamp will come off due to the high pressure in the return line?
