I am having a problem with the fan speed selector switch. It operates intermitently. Sometimes I have all of the fan speeds and sometimes just the high speed and sometimes nothing at all. I have already checked the connections at the switch and sprayed conntact cleaner. I would guess that I have some sort of ground problem. Can someone tell me where to look? I am the original owner of this 75, PLEASE HELP!
I had this same trouble with my '70. It may be the switch itself. Try this:
Turn the fan switch to high and then very lightly move the switch back to the drivers side and to the passenger side. Does the fan go off (or on)? The contacts get cruddy inside after all the years. I've taken them apart and cleaned them with success but it might be just as easy to replace the switch for about $20.

Had this very same problem with My 79,acted just like Yours.
Turned out to be the connection at blower motor was not good,
sometimes made connection, sometimes not.If You have a test light
turn everything on,switch etc. then check for voltage in the wire
going to blower mtr.If the wire is hot it may be the connection. Dont
know how it is on a 75 but on a 79 the connection at the mtr. is a bear
to get to.
