I bought converter, y-pipe & Magna Flows for my 79 from Corvette Central. Not too loud, just a nice rumble & a good bark when you mash with your foot. Very good quality, good fit & the price is right. IMO, you can't go wrong with Magna Flow.

60's sound eh? Run straight pipes! Seriously though, I would say that glass packs like smithys would work well, but steel packs would do as well. I think that flowmaster 40's are nice, and I dont want to step on anyones toes here, but I think that they are too restrictive.
