70 Electrical , Dead Start
Car won't start. Battery will not take a charge. Battery tests at 12V, 12V at starter poles.Key on , dash lights dim, turn key to start and lights go out, no clicking noise. Push start and dash ammeter shows zero even if engine is reved.
Any help much appreciated.

I had the same symptoms as you and it turned out to be a bad cable-end on the ground wire where it attached to the battery. Everything was fine with no load, then when I tried to start it the car would go dead.
