Default No Start electrical problems

ok so i got home from the track tonight and pulled up to the garage. I got out to unlock the garage and shut off the car. Get back in the car to start and click sounds like a dead battery. Turned off lights and tried click. Tried again and nothing. Now after it sits for a minute or two i can turn on the interior light and maybe the parking lights but if i pull the light all the way out everything goes away. My positive battery cable was lose and i was able to move it by hand. I tightened it up and my interior light came on i fiugred ok here we go turned the key nothing light went out. I through the battery charger on it and it still wouldn't let me turn the light on. I checked the battery with a volt ohm meter and it reads 12 volts. So should i just throw a charger on it in the morning and let it sit? Are there any fusible links anywhere in this car that could be bad? Could the battery gotten messed up from the loose cable even though it reads 12 volts? Electrical problems are the absolute worst thing i hate on cars as i can never figure them out

Yes you have several fusible links but yours "sounds like bad connections.Take the neg.cable off charge batt.-clean and tighten conn. at batt.and starter-check under car where neg. cable attaches to frame-wiggle it around if you see it swelled up and corrosion it could be bad.If everthing looks good fire it up and check amp. gauge to see if its charging. If amp. guage doesnt work real well look at interior light and see if it is bright and that it recovers when turning headlights on.If you can see interior light responding -drive and keep an eye on it.If you want to bench check batt. charge up on bench check voltage several times over a couple of days if it goes down its bad.Good Luck
