Default rochester carb connections

The rochester carb on my 69 has been bubbaised sometime in the past divorced choke rod missing various other rods missing however most have to do with the choke circuit which living in the south i can do without. the question i have is there is what looks like a vacuum tube coming out of the rear(secondary side in the middle top of carb rear). what is this supposed to be hooked to?

If it's coming out of the throttle plate and accepts a 3/8" hose, it goes to your brake booster if so equipped.

Sounds like you do not have the correct top (airhorn) on your carb. The tube that sticks out of the top, rear, center of the carb is the air source supply tube (vent tube) for the suction side of the hot air integral choke system on a post-'75 carb. '69 Q-Jets did not have a vent tube at this location since they used a divorced choke. What's the carb number on your carb...?

Lars, the carb in question is a rebuilt carb installed by a previous owner tried to read the carb # but it looks like in the rebuild process it was removed. checked a 7029207 that i want to install on the 69 and it didn't have that port. when are you going to start to putting the hammer to the carbs again? please let me know.
