The old G-Tech (I picked one up on eBay for only $28) works pretty well for acceleration runs and measuring G-forces. The HP measurements are only based off a calulation of acceleration and power/weight, so I don't really put any faith in those.
0-60 times are spot on, 1/4-mile ETs are accurate within a tenth, but trap speeds tend to be a few mph high - this is because the G-Tech measures instantaneous speed at the moment you cross the 1/4-mile, where the the dragstrip displays an average speed over 100ft or so.
I can only imagine the G-Tech Pro is more accurate, and the extra features (like showing 60' times) seem very useful.
Work great. I have an early G-Tech that I was able to update online to a Pro RR. Be careful because there are two models: a less expensive one that is NOT upgradeable and the more expensive one that is. I use mine on track days for lap times and G-loads in turns to compare different racing lines for effectiveness. Nice tool to have!
