Already replaced the flasher, twice in case one was defective. All heavy duty. The car wasn't even running, so alterrnator speed was not an issue. Grounds might be the problem. I will check them. Strange, they start normal for about 2 or three blinks, then go fast.
Did you change the correct flasher? Not trying to be a wise guy, just speaking from personal experience...
When I was putting mine together originally (it was a basket case), and finally got to the lights, I wasted too much time trying to fix a directional issue because I was changing the flasher on the fuse block - WRONG!! - it was on the passenger side just above the courtesy lamp!
I have been changing the falsher on the fuse box. Didn't know there was another. I have to try that one. Thank goodness for this forum and you guys. It is great to be able to pick each other's brains like this.
