Carbon arcing/tracking
How common is it? I didn't put too many miles on my car, but after a fresh rotor there was quite a bit of carbon on the underside. I wiped it clean and it runs better, but is this a sign of something bigger? It probably had a few thousand miles on the new rotor, '75 HEI.

It is common , although as long as the rotor isn't burned through it will be ok. does the engine run bad ? when the rotor has that black powdery residue on it..
