U-joints are double d and all the brackets and u-joints are steel. I can take some pics and email theme to you tomorrow late afternoon. As far as scratch and dent parts That's fine I can always clean theme up and paint them my self. Thanks for all your help.

???? I have Steeroids on my '80, but I don't have any of those problems and my steering doesn't feel anything like my sloppy old steering.

How old is your kit? Mine less than a year old, so things may have changed. Mine includes some gussets that may have been added since yours. The brackets are rock solid.
