Has anyone gone from a flat tappet to similarly spec'd solid roller cam and measured the difference in performance? I'd like to know the real world difference. Thanks
Be carefull Ironcross will be on here warning you of the evils of
roller cams It would be hard to justify all the cost of a roller
cam over the cost of a solid flat tappit for the xtra HP.

Nothing but the cost. A solid flat tappit is just chunk of metal if it gets lubricated
right its a simple device with no needle bearings to worry about, but it
can not make as much power.

I Dont Know The Differance Same Spec To Spec Differance, But I Went From A Hyd Roller 230i 236e To A Solid Roller 240i 248e And A Big Differance. The Cost For A Roller In The Old Small Block Is Very High Compared To A Flat Tapet Cam The Cam Isnt That Much Higher But The Lifters Are In The 4 To 600 Range. If You Have A Newer Block The Lifters Are Not Near As Bad On The Wallet.
