The only type I have ever seen are called Sun Shades
Not very effective and not very attractive
I suppose a google search on corvette sun shades may turn something up
Probably not. I have seen dark liners for the t-tops. Static sicks them to the roof. Eklers, Corvette America, Zip, etc should have them. You might have to get one for a C4 & cut it to fit.
marck, they make headliners for glass tops because the florida heat bakes you through the glass! i have these thin material things that adhere with static. they work great only one of them falls from time to time.
I love my glass tops. I use my Vette in stereo competition. For those of you that have no idea what I am talking about, http://www.termpro.com/dbdrag/ We test the dB level inside the car using special sensors. Who ever has the most dB's wins. http://www.termpro.com/asp/competito...06&Page=1There are all kinds of things other then the stereo that have an effect on dB's such as noise cancellation. I am sure that my car would be better off with the solid tops and headliners, I just don't want to spend all the money for another set to find out that my hunch was wrong. Due to the rules I am not allowed to modify anything in the roof unless it is a stock option such as the solid tops. I know this all sounds crazy but a big part of my business is selling alternators to guys that have upgraded stereos and need bigger alternators to power them and we use the Vette as a promo car.
It might be worth a try to borrow a set of solid tops and check out the difference. Glass tops are worth quite a bit more than 'glas tops, so if you decide to get a set of the solid tops for use in competitions, the price shouldn't be too horrible.
My wife bought a set of the dark filters fit for the C-3 from Mid America. They are held on by static and I think they work great. I can still see the blue sky and the birds pooping on the top but don't have the sun glare when the tops are on.
I have the static cling headliner material in my 86 C4. It has an acrylic/glass top also. Its great in the winter, but in the summer time it just heats up the car interior way too much. I use this plastic liner that clings to the inside. On the C4 the roof is one big top. If you were to cut the material in half you will still have enough to stick to the insides of your glass tops. Then you could take it off when you need to.
