wow - thanks for all those replies and pictures.
i am very inspired and will have further questions.
Most people won't mind at all if you PM them for more info or pics on their interiors. Sky's the limit on what you can do...just set high goals and go for it.
Well, you'll have trouble finding seats narrow enough to fit right, and the tracks become as issue as well when the trans hump widens.
I know its a pricey alternative but Corbeau makes GTS II seats that fit. I have them (used) but have not installed them yet. A few other forum members have installed them since then and they fit snuggly and are very comfortable. Most Sparco seats will also fit (like the milanos) but those are even more $$. Make sure the base fits with the trans tunnel but also make sure the seat upright fits since the door and window curves in a considerable amount around shoulder height.
Good luck.
T/T i like the light dash design with the gauges fixed that way, i'd leave that way, maybe only finishing the tubes in brushed alu?
i've been thinking to 'empty' the front of my car cabin many times but i never find the courage to do it...how much weight you've got rid taking out the whole dash?
The tubing is not alu, it's galvanized steel. It's just a guide for the curve, those 4 little gauges are only the 1st row, there will be 3 or 4 rows next to each other in total, haven't decided on that yet. It'll be a full dash, it looks like crap like it is.
68 NJConv 454, clean floor? What floor..the shop floor or the floor inside the car?

T/T i think the dash simple like it is now and pretty empty look very nice, imagine it nice clean with the front bar and the small bended tube painted or brushed, it's a nice design, believe me...you could paint the front transverse bar same color of the car and the bended tube light metallic silver
The problem is, I have a whole bunch of other gauges that need to go in there. I don't think it'll look good with everythign open but I won't make the dash very large, not like stock. The center console will sit a good bit higher also because of the shifter height.
I may have to model something up in SW to see how it'll look.

EU top tuners have the tradition of clean floors...there is also a contest where the floors are so clean you can actually eat your food on them and avoid any contamination...
instead, i love some oil drops here and there, some gas smell and coolant blue dried out drops... and the lovely dust staying on my favourite pics at the walls...

Only 3 or 4 rows of guages? Go all out, put 5 or 6 rows in along with an intercom to welcome them to "Air TT" j/k. I can't wait to see your cockpit when your done...looks real good so far, seems like a lot of fabrication work involved there. How's motor coming along? any pics
My engine has been ready for quite some time, pics are aroudn here somewhere, I don't even have a clock..all the gauges are either necessary or useful.
Don't know but is she wearing a painted on swim suit? Here's my custom interior. The dash is brushed aluminum. Dam I can't make the one shot any larger. Oh well.
