My car was setup like that when I bought it
I diddnt check my service manual yet to see if it's correct but with that setup it was a source of a good sized vacuum leak.
Hooked it up direct ..PCV to carb.. plugged off the inlet on the canister and the vacuum came up by about 4"
Just a thought..
However, I just don't see how moving that bracket around would take the slack out of the air-craft cable.
You have me confused when you talk of slack.
The cable should have enouth throw (length of exposed cable that protrudes from the end of the casing) to accommodate the Holley if it worked correctly with the Q-Jet
Are you using the center (lower) hole in the Holley for your attachment?
I see no reason why the stock cable shouldnt work...
Thanks

Thanks for the tip Bob, but I did a full body-off restoration to my car, and everything is brand new on the car, including the entire EVAP system. For what it's worth, it is also the correct factory set up.

Actually, between the two of us, that makes me the dumber since I didn't spring for the high dollar kit that came with instructions. I was cheap and bought the no-name universal kit. Dumb me huh? Oh well, it worked out great.
