Yea, for some reason those 1/4-20 cap screws like to bust off at the head. Been there. Then broke an easy out tool off in the bolt.:o Man it took forever to get the easy-out out. Had to use a Hobo Freight 90* drill attachment and the drill bit just bored along side the easy-out into the bolt - well some of the threaded casting mount too.
Welding onto the bolt is not an option. And the tiny drill bit needed for that small a bolt likes to snap at anytime.
Do it again i would try to get a hi-speed tool (flex shaft) with a ball mill (hopefully carbide) -Dremel sells'm and grind it though the middle the best i could. Hog it out so the larger easy outs can get in there. Its a through hole BTW and maybe able to turn it out the back.
