If someone breaks a hinge trying to bend it back, you might try contacting the fellows who bought my first six sets. I'm keeping ours, but maybe one of them would be willing to part with their originals.
I'm getting new e-mails out of the blue asking for hinges. I can add a couple, but I've got to pull the plug somewhere. Once everyone pays and I order the aluminum, I'm definately not accepting any more orders.
Everybody is trying to get struts also. Check the link in this thread. A guy named Pete has 'some' nice sets. If my hinge buyers can't find any struts, I'll see what I can do about making a couple sets up. Note that this would only be for the hinge buyers, I am not interested in producing struts.

OK, I took a couple more guys so I am making 8 sets altogether, but I have to stop there.
Several of you guys need struts also. As I said, if it comes to it, I'll make some up, but first I want to see if you can get sets from here:

Sprinter posted here that he got a set of these to go with my hinges and he likes them. I haven't seen these struts, but if they look like the pictures then they are correct for the car. From the write-up on ebay, I can tell the guy did his homework because what he says about the pressures is accurate. I don't know about the original struts, but Eckler's are 75 lbs and I decided on 55 for mine.
I sent a note to Pete asking if he had any more sets of struts to sell and if he would check in here. Someone said he's out of town for a couple weeks so patience may be in order.

For Steve...my car was wrecked before I got it and they'd done a pretty crappy job of putting it back together. I finished it off though when someone pulled out in front of me and I slid it into a pole bending the frame in way too many places. So, took off the body, put another frame under the car, and replaced the tired engine and suspension. Puts out around 400 HP and will run the 1/4 in 12.7 sec. with crappy street tires. Gets about 25 mpg highway and it's a blast to drive
