Default Window moulding question...

Me again... '78 Anniversary Edition... The moulding around the rear glass has most of the plastic clips broken off. Anyone know how to replace them? It looks like they are held in by some kind of rivet but I can't see for sure because I have not removed to glass yet.

Thanks,
John

i lost my rear trim due to bad clips after previous owner replaced back glass. mine is a '79 coupe and thier are little about 3/16th ******* about 6 inches apart that those clips mount to, just a matter of sticking them over lining up the hole and they slip right in. From what i can tell u don't need to remove your rear glass for this. However on mine towards the fuel tank side it was very tight to get them in. not sure if the previous owner got out of center or what. I am looking for an alternative rear trim because mine was ruined when it fell out.Be sure to fix the issue before you lose yours because i saw a used partially bent moulding for i think it was $270.00 before shipping. I decided i don't need that particular original eqpt part and am now installing a vinyl 1/2" hose in its place until i can get something reasonably priced or find a wrecked coupe locally

Does the special tool also install new ones or do they just "POP" back on?

Thanks,
John

Sounds good Thrilher... I'll take another look. I am sure I will need to buy more. Are they just called "Moulding Clips"

Thanks,
John
