I think all you need to do is splice a toggle into the existing power lead leading to the side of your trans. This will allow you to overide the lockup circut and keep the vertor from locking. Under certain driving conditions the vertor will seek in and out of lockup. Cutting the juice to the circut with a toggle will keep the vertor from locking. A mini toggle fit nicely under my ashtray lid.

Most factory installed lock up convertors will have a lead off the brake switch that will prevent the convertor from locking up. This basically unlocks the convertor anytime you are on the brakes.
