going to the hydraboost was a great improvement. changed the character of the car and stops like never before, even with a good working system.

He'd have to add a power steering pump for Hydro. I'm a big advocate of Hydro as well, but for his application he has to maintain a non-power car.

You never did say if you had considered a small electric vavuum pump to aid the engine's vacuum for the booster. May make the difference enough to save you work of swapping to manual.

The only place I have ever heard of them being used is in race applications so I imagine they make one that would fit your needs. Perhaps a racing forum member would have more incite.

Electric vacuum pumps have been used in production cars, 80's Cavaliers for one. If you go the vacuum pump route, look at Gast ambulance vacuum pumps, that is your best deal for 12V vac pumps.

Cool. I was gonna look into a vac pump before I switched to Hydro. I may still depending on the cam I end up using. Great source.
