Charging/Battery Problem?
I was driving tonight and noticed the battery light would come on briefly and then turn off. When lit, it was kind of dim. This happens when I'm decelarating or at idle. When it starts to come on it would turn off when I accelerate. What's weird is the voltmeter in the dash says things are fine with a reading above 13 volts (The needle is between 13 & redline). At first I thought it's because there's a large current draw from having lights on at night and radio on. Well, I got home and turned the lights off and the battery light still comes on at idle and shut off intermittently. Should I be worried about an impending battery or alternator failure? I think the alternator was replaced awhile ago by the previous owner though. Hmmm...
