Default Keisler Engineering

Keisler Announces Special Offer to Forum Members

For a limited time Keisler Engineering is supporting Forum members with a very special offer. Keisler will include a brand new 11" titanium/aluminum bell housing or a 450ft-lb rated Clutch Kit FREE with every Chevrolet 5-speed order.

The bell housing is a $199 value and comes complete with a steel inspection cover and hardware. Original 621 bell housings are selling for upwards of $300 on the web and do not have the strength or accuracy of the Keisler 621 Bell Housing. This bell will mate the TKO 5-speed to any Chevrolet small block or big block and works with most original linkages (9 o'clock fork position).

Choose the free clutch and receive either at 10.5" or 11" race balanced pressure plate, a fully sprung carbon/copper disc, premium sealed throw out bearing, lube pack and alignment tool. These clutches are our most popular models and are both durable with easy pedal effort.

To take advantage of this special offer order by Friday, November 3rd by calling 865.609.8187 ext 1. Most kits now ship within 24-48 hours. Thank you for supporting the forum and Keisler Engineering.

Wow,

I just called Keisler, and talked w/Gray Frederick, the sales manager.

He stated even though my order was yesterday, he will drop ship the 11" clutch kit with my 600 5 speed order.

Holy cow......I really cannot wait

If after sales service is like this, I cant see why ANYONE would go elsewhere for over drive trannies

And all this and I havent even got any parts yet!

Melvin, Keisler's after sales service is beyond excellent if there is such a category. They go well beyond to ensure that your installation is top notch. If you are missing any parts, a quick call to them is all that is necessary. I have dealt with both Gene and Richard and they are genuinely interested in providing the finest customer service available. Other companies could learn from their performance. A month after I had my kit installed, I decided to put in a new ZZ4 engine and of course my flywheel had to be replaced. A call to Keisler got me an excellent deal on a new flywheel. They are an AAA+++ company to do business with. Those guys ROCK :-)

Melvin, this goes for me as well. Binnie is not overstating the sales and service excellence of Keisler's . I installed a TKO600 this Spring as well. Binnie and myself both being in Canada, there are always cross border issues, and Keisler has handled this with professional excellence.
Richard could not give any better after sales support.
I'm very, very satisfied with the whole solution from Keisler.
I've enjoyed the TKO600 all Summer.
Based on my past average driving (miles per year), I have driven almost 5 years worth this Summer.
Enjoy your TKO.

MY only regret is that Keisler didn't exist to MY knowledge anyway...some 8 years ago, I would have been MUCH happier with a 5 speed or better....but as it was I tore out the Muncie for a 700 auto tranny, and wish I didn't do THAT one....trying a 200 4r now, since all the stick crap is gone...

oh well....

Default Well, I did it.

I wasn't quite ready for this winter project but I just ordered my TK0-500 and was able to get in on the special. Been thinking about it for a year or so, and finally took the plunge. As long as my wife doesn't find out I'll be all set

Thanks Gene for a good deal, I'm looking forward to it.

If only I could afford to do it

I already went to a 200-4R, but maybe in the future I'll go manual

I sold my soul to the devil....err.....my wife. Made an agreement I get to do the transmission this winter and suspension next winter so I can get them both done before we pop out a kid shortly thereafter. At least that is the plan.

Shane,
Not that difficult, just time consuming. I just emailed you a WORD file with some pictures of my installation along with my comments. Learn from my mistakes. We are here for you!

Greatly appreciated. Got the file and will open it up when I get to a faster internet connection (on an aircard right now). I also have to do something I have been putting off for a while and finish fixing my parking brake. I replaced all of the working parts on the rear but never finished dialing them in.

Oh well...

I found the rear parking brakes a bigger PITA than the 5 speed install.

Default Shane/Top Gun...

I ordered mine a couple of days ago straight from Rob Hall, and just found out yesterday from Gray Frederick there is a back log on driveshafts.

So I called Rob back today, and he said he would check on it, (I had originally assumed everything was in stock), but Rob is checking in on the C3 drive shaft issue..Hopefully it wont be long of a wait.......

Soounds like they got 3 orders just from the Corvette forum in just the last couple of days...........

Has anyone mentioned to you there might be a wait for the driveshafts?

Nothing mentioned of as backlog specifically but they did say it would ship on the 10th which, to me, means they are waiting on something. As long as it is not too much longer than that, it is fine with me. I have a few other projects I am finishing up right now anyway: dollhouse refurbishment for my nieces and 10 cubuc yards of mulch in my driveway needs to be spread.

As for the parking brake being a bigger PITA...that was def a PITA but that makes me feel better. Luckily those just need to be adjusted...Probably just need to dial it in the pads a but more.

Rob just called. Seems like back at Keisler (Rob right now is out at a major vendor thing), there is in fact a driveshaft for me there, and the package will ship tommorrow. Rob will notify me and confirm when package is actually shipped

So I ordered on Tues, will ship fri. Not too bad. Sounds like Rob has been working overtime today to get back with the info!

Whats the total price of the TKO 500 kit? Still upwards of 3k? I will be in the market soon for the kit. Im going from a 4 speed to a 5 speed, is the kit cheaper than auto to 5 speed?

Our kit s start at $3195 for the TKO-500 most of the time with a 26 spline disc and $100 handle the total cost would be $3364 plus shipping.

The good news is we are offereing a discount so call us up and get it ordered.

Thanks Gene
