It went a 14.71 at 90 something mph. He has the slip, he just needs to dig it out. It is red on red with red t-tops. It has the L-82 engine. It has the radio with no options. Sport mirrors. Power windows and locks. rear window defogger. A/C. Auto trans. Tilt/telescope wheel. Power antenna. Dual rear speakers. Aluminum wheels. Convenience Group. I am not sure if it has the gear option. Howard, the guy I got it from, says he thinks they are 3.55.
Any help would be great!

You have asked of how many are red on red 1978? The facts the total 1978 Corvette made 46,776 minus 6,502 pace cars = 40,274. The paint colors offered with red interior were white, silver, silver ann., black and red. The total of 4,067 red interior of 40,274 available is 9.9 %. The total of 2,074 red paint with red interior is 205 esitamated.

Not sure if anyone actually answered your original question. It is a very frequently asked question!! People see the production data that shows the number of cars built with various options, engines, transmissions, colors etc, and they naturally want to know how many with various combinations of options were produced. Unfortunately, as far as we know this information is not available. The records either were not kept or they are so well hidden have not been found yet. What people often do is estimate the combinations based on information available. In other words, if 10% of all 78s are red, and 25% of all 78s are 4 spds, then they "guess" or "estimate" that 10% of the 4spds were red.... and so on...

The car was bought from Wink Chevrolet, in Dearborn, MI. I do have the window sticker.
