Chassis Repair
Hi Folks,
I am about to make the weld repair to the rear sections of my frame (front of the rear wheels). I've order the 23" repair kit which includes the two piece rail sections, end plate and gussets from Zip which should arrive Monday.
I asume many of you have done this repair before so my question is how much reinforcing of the frame is required to ensure no movement takes place during the cutting or welding process? I thought I'd tie the rear cross member to the transmission cross member, top and bottom, then tie the top of the rear rails to the side rails and possibly one diagonal brace.
Is this overkill, or not enough?
