Your engine & under hood look fantastic.
I do make one observation that I am not sure about. Both of your heater hoses are connected to the waterpump. I always thought that the hose coming from the pump, pumps the coolant through the heater core & the other hose returns it to the intake where it can make a pass through the raidiator.
The way it looks to me (& I may very well be wrong) is that with both hoses on the pump there will be no flow as the pump will try to pump through both hoses.

Anyway just an observation, looks great. wish mine looked that good.

Your right the 5/8'' heater hose would normally connect to the intake fitting. I choose to use the fitting in the top of the water pump which is for a bypass connection, this should still give me enough flow for the heater core, plus some of BB Chevy’s have both heater hoses coming off the water pump to.

So essentially they do the same thing they are just in different locations?

I was wondering. Instead of looping the heater hoses, that would normally go to the core. Why not use something akin to a trans cooler and mount it under the car in the open air as another radiator? Could that bolter the cooling ability on an engine that tends to run hot at high speeds?
