Low idle...
Hey guys I'm still having trouble with a low idle....Everyonce in a while my idle still goes low like it wants to stall...Especially when my foot is on the brake... also acompanied with a little black smoke..........I messed with the fuel mixture screws but no help...My mechanic works solo n he has 2 engine jobs which leaves no time 4 me....I would appreciate any input...Thanx...Jerrylee///

Were there any changes when you turned the air mixture screws? Did the idle change at all? You may have plugged air bleeds. Try removing the air mixture screws all the way out and spray some carb cleaner inside the openings, Reinstall the air mixture screws and readjust from there. Use a vacuum gauge to obtain the highest vacuum readings. Make sure that the points if you still use them are adjusted to the correct dwell and reset the timing too.
