Default 69 Block Correct

I have a 69 vette 350/300 - TH350 VIN 194379S716618.
Does this block work for me If I am trying to restore a matching numbers car?

Ad Reads:

This 350 4 bolt main block from a 1969 corvette. Numbers on block are v0123HZ 199734123 and 3970010 and J-14-9, which should be October 14, 1969. Sorry do not have crank or pistons. Block looks to be standard bore, and does have main caps.

No. the two stampings will give it away. the first one starting with the v porably won't but the second one will the second one is the vin derivitave and should match the vin of the car which it dosen't.

Oct 14 1969 is the 1970 model year. No better than what you got. The engine you have now is a high nickel block. It is an excellent block and all core shift is done. Perfect to build on. Best castings ever put out by GM. They used the high nickel tin alloy blocks from 1970 to about 74. GM reduced the nickel and tin at that point due to having to replace their tooling too often due to the hardness of the blocks. That is what I am building.

your car was built in Feb of 69 so a Jan/early Feb block would be nice.

your tranny is a Turbo 400 btw
