The turn signal flasher should be on the passenger side, up behind the knee dash pad. You'll have to get on your back on the floor and look up from under it where your feet would usually be. You'll see a pair of wires with the flasher plugged into it.

Not for sure, but if you looked at the fuse panel and see the hazard flasher than I would assume the signal flasher still resides under the passenger knee pad.

On an 81 the turn signal flasher is on the fuse panel, lower right. The hazrd flasher is on the fuse panel, upper left.

In 79 they changed the fuse panel to accomodate the plastic fuses(instead of the glass littlefuses). There should be 2 flashers, one at the top left and one bottom right. Bottom right is for the turn sig. flashers. I AM assuming 79-82 would be similar, tho. I got a diagram I'll post in a minute, soom as I find it.

I was assuming it WASN'T there as we think, because that would be the first place I would have looked, and I assumed he did just that considering he specified it wasn't the hazard flasher location like he already knew where that was.

Look under the passenger dash right at the bottom, that is where mine is in my '77. It might be the same. There is a clip that holds it there

We figured out it's now on the fuse panel is those years, as they re-designed it with the small plastic fuses instead of the glass ones like in our '77 Vettes.
