normal intake vacuum pressure at 500'?
I AM GOING THROUGH DIAGNOSTIC CHECKS ON BOTH MY HEADLIGHT AND WIPER DOOR VACUUM SYSTEMS ON MY 68 L71. WHAT WOULD THE EXPECTED VACUUM BE AT THE INTAKE MANIFOLD AT 500' ABOVE SEA LEVEL? MY HEADLIGHTS WORK AS IS ALTHOUGH VERY SLOW AND NOT DEPENDABLE. I HAVEN'T STARTED THE VACUUM LINE TRACE YET, JUST WANTED EVERYONE'S OPINION.
THANKS

Should be around 18 or 20 but could be as low as 12 without a real problem. Eliminate the vac line possible leaks by disconnecting the line at the manifold and put the vac gauge on that port for a baseline measurement. Then reconnect the vac line and remeasure and see where you are
