If you look at the alternator from the front like a clock, with the 'front to back' mounting foot at the bottom, and the upper mounting tab on the top half...the 10:30 plug is the location of the wiring plug like it was a clock. The bottom is the 6 o'clock, and the plug location is up where 10:30 would be.
