Alternator Swap Help Paper.
Okay, here's the newest help paper for anyone interested in swapping their stock SI style alternator for a CS style alternator. I can make changes and add things that I may have left out or forgotten. I hope it helps someone.

What's the difference between CS and SI, and what's the advantage?
In other words--Why would I be interested?

Higher output at idle, and a higher overall output at a low GM stock part price. Generally under $70 for a 100+ amp alternator compared to $100+ for a high output SI alternator.

Nice. Thanks. I don't need an alternator swap now but I saved it for future reference.

Try me. I read this **** and install it every day for 28 years. I even have to find EE errors, and send them back. If I can't read it, you can't write it.
