Default polished intakes

I was wondering if anyone has ever had a polished intake.Does it lose it`s luster over time from the heat of the motor or is it protected?I am thinking about getting a polished edelbrock

I have a polished torquer 2 on my BB but polished it myself... so it might not be of much help but does require a polish every week or two depending on how shiny I want it. I havent sprayed it with varnish so cant vouch for how quickly it would discolour.

My next manifold I am definatley going to get a HPC coating on.... hope this helps ..

I have a polished performer edelbrock manifold and after 1000 miles on a new motor I have not seen any deterioration on the polished luster, it looks as new, the only thing is you can see any dirt in the manifold but just have to clean it an it will look like brand new, you can see it on my website
