Default Piston Compression Ratio

I was reading one of the other post about compression ratio Calc. Some one had stated that the KB calc. was wrong on the +/- cc input of the calc.. I just want to clarify what is proper. It is my understanding that the flat and pop ups are -cc and the dish is +cc.

Reasoning is the pop up takes up more space there by raising the ratio by taking away space being -cc. Dish piston create more space being +cc.

Let's hear from everyone to make sure this is a correct understanding because I read multiple people understanding it be other than what I think it is.

Welll ... I do understand what you mean ... all too well.

I dunno what is "proper " ... but KB flies in the face of convention ... other calcs enter -cc for flat/dish & +cc for dome. KB also flies by showing their flattop piston in their catalog as having a POSITIVE dome volume ... well I guess that might work with their unconventional CR calculator ... because it's azz backward too.
