Default a little help here...

I posted last week and you guys wanted numbers and more information
It's a 1980, white, 4sp, 350, no mods, mirrored t-tops, rusted exhaust, needs tires, brake pads, 34,000mi, hasn't been started in 6 years. The frame looks fine, the interior is perfect, the body looks perfect. Basically mint except for the engine not being started in so long.

Hinge post of driver's side door- TRIM 722 10L PAIN
VIN on driver's side door - 1z878a5430842
Engine Code at front right of vehicls? - V0516ZAM

What would you offer? I figure at least 2K just to get running (tires, breaks, new fluids, tune-up) and up to 4K if the engine has issues because it hasn't been started in so long.

I also would plan on replacing every gasket the car has.

They have all dried out and will start leaking as soon as the car gets running. Especially the transmission seals, the rear main engine seal, and valve cover gaskets.

Why has the car not been started in over 6 years? What was wrong with it that it was not at least started every couple of months?

I would offer $8000 if interior and exterior are perfect, and would be willing to go to $9000.

Plan on $2000-$4000 in repairs in the next year. Especially if the engine is toast. I would say that for even a running C3 you should plan on at least $2000 spent over the next year.

BSeery is probably pretty close to what I'd consider.

I might only go as high as $8k, starting at about $6k or $6.5k...

non-working engine scares me...

And sounds like complete exhaust needed too
