Default Almost fixed...but not!
My horn was contantly hot and I found that the harmonica wiring from the new turn signal switch got "smooched" when tightening the steering column. SO the 1st black wire was grounding. Okay fixed that and reinstalled everything except the upper horn contact and cap. Still good....but every time I screw down the horn contact...constant horn blowing. Any ideas?

One more queston... when installing does the horn conact protruding prong push down on the horn brush all the time? Maybe I'm installing wrong.

The plastic pins may be the problem also you could need more shims. The pin should be on the spring loaded part.

Their are three plastic pins in that top assembly and if they are broken and cause a ground the horn will honk all the time.

I understand about the "pins" what look like plastic rivets but I do not have any shims at all.

I never seen a column that had 0 shims they usally have two or three shims so this may be the problem.
