Default changing headlight on '79?

Do I change the headlights with them up or down? then How do I get the old lights out?

I know this is a stupid question but I can't find the answer anywhere. Not even in my Shop Manual. I just finished replacing the Starter because of Heat Soak, I figured I'd try one more project today.

Thanks

The headlights get changed with them in the up position. Use a Philips Head screwdriver to remove the 4 screws from the headlight bezel, then remove the bezel. Next remove the 3 screws that hold the chrome ring around the headlamp and remove the chrome ring. Lift the bulb out and unplug the socket from the back of it. To assemble just reverse the disassembly procedure. There are 3 headlight aiming screws attached to the headlight bucket, be sure not to remove or turn these screws or the will put your headlight aim out of adjustment.

Hi,

I need to replace my bulbs as I have a C3 in Australia so need to get the high beam to point the right of the road. Can someone tell me the specification for the bulb so I can get a suitable Australian replacement?

Thanks

Bret
