Default Stock rear spring question

Thinking of refurbing stock rear spring. Still has some arch left. If I replace the liners will it increase the arch?

In other words is the fact that the existing liners are worn and extruding from between the leaves reducing the arch?

I don't believe the liners do a thing for the arch. The best thing I ever did for my ride quality was go to a "glass" spring.

Liners are just there to reduce friction...also...re-arching steel spring is one option..or purchase a new one...

I too have been thinking about replacing the springs...my ride seems "choppy" although i've replaced the shocks and bushings...i've also read if the springs have no arc to replace them...here is a photo of my springs, can any one tell if they are wore out? i have nothing to compare them to.

as a little test, I shook the body of the car to check movement and feel as though it "wiggled" more than I like. I don't know the specs, and no car around to compare this to, so I'm wondering whats the normal allowance for rear suspension. any ideas?

old shocks and tired bushings may be most of your "wiggle"; some is okay
