Hi, KRYLON Semi-Flat Black #1613.......I used it on all my 68 interior stuff and it was FANTASTIC!!!!!!! I was told to use it first by a friend who is a C3 NCRS Master Judge. Don't strip the old paint off......just clean it well with lacquer thinner and let it dry well. Also, invest the $3 in a spray can "Trigger". If you warm the paint can up, under warm water for a couple minutes, it creates a "finer' mist, paint looks great. Good luck! John
John,
Thanks for the info. That sounds perfect!! With the recommendation coming from a judge that gives me a lot of confidence.

No problem......also, What I did on my 68 was to paint the whole thing w/o masking the chrome edges (like on the center bezel). After applying a few coats and letting it dry, I used oe of those "sand paper sponges" . (extra fine)....kinda semi rigid. I carefully "sanded" the chrome edges to remove the paint.....came out great. Good Luck
If your painting the chrome parts. I recommend SEM which you can get at any good autobody supply company they can usually mix any trim color code and then put it in a spray can. It may cost you $20 but it is far better than anything else I have ever tried. You might even want an epoxy prime coat over the chrome or adhesine promoter if the parts are flexible plastic or vinyl.
the sand block tip is a very good tip, but dont wait till the paint is completely dry, i did that at it is very hard to get the paint off without a rough sand block. if you sand it after the paint is just dry to the touch then it is not completely hard and it come off alot easier so you can use a smoother block, and this is safer so you cant screw up the rest of the paint. but this tip is great and it is much easier than taping off
