seat belt push button
Can't get this to work on my 69. Looks like a little electromagnet and when you push the button under the light it turns the light off. Any idea how this works?

I have a '68, upon start-up, the seat belt light activates. I push the button, light goes out. When I re-start the car, seat belt light activates. Push the button, light goes out. Repeat the process again upon each start up. It did not work for me until I replaced the bulb. It's just an un-refined way of having a seat belt reminder warning. Not unlike todays cars where the light automatically goes out when you buckle up. I hope this information helps.
